Romano to seek 137th endorsement

Common Council member Joanne T. Romano has officially announced her desire to run for the 137th State House of Representatives seat and has the support of Republican District leaders, Norwalk’s Mayor Dick Moccia and RTC Chairman Art Scialabba.


On May 22nd, at 7:00 PM, the Norwalk Republican Town Committee will gather at the Norwalk Inn and Conference Center to endorse a Republican candidate to run for the 137th House district. The seat is currently held by Democrat Chris Perone.

“Securing the support from the Mayor, District leaders and the Town Chairman, Joanne Romano seems assured of securing the nomination that night,” states RTC Chairman Art Scialabba

“Joanne has worked tirelessly for the citizens in Norwalk, serving on the Common Council and on many other projects for the community, I support her desire and willingness to do more for the people of Norwalk by serving as our next State Representative  in Hartford,” states Chairman Art Scialabba

 

“Joanne is an experienced elected official whose passion and devotion to her community is recognized by all.   Her effort on behalf of our military personnel and veterans has been extraordinary.  She can and will bring that passion to Hartford,” states Mayor Richard Moccia

 

“As Chairman of District C, RTC I fully support the nomination of Joanne Romano as the Republican Candidate for the 137th Legislative District.   Joanne's three terms on the Norwalk Common Council, her extraordinary work with our Veterans groups, and her lifelong commitment to the betterment of our city makes her the ideal candidate for the 137th. Joanne will serve Norwalk well, and place the needs of our citizens above all else,” states Pete Torrano, Chairman of District C Republicans.
