Town Hall meeting with US Congressman Jim Himes and Mayor of Norwalk Richard Moccia

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will host a Town Hall meeting with US Congressman Jim Himes, Democrat-Fourth District of Connecticut and Richard Moccia, Mayor of Norwalk. The meeting, which will be free and open to the public, will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, 10:00 a.m. in the Rotunda of the Mansion at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk CT. Norwalk Common Council Member and LMMM Trustee Douglas Hempstead will be the event’s facilitator.

Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum Executive Director Sheldon R. Gerarden said “the program will offer an opportunity to the public and members of the Mansion to explore with their elected officials national and local issues.” The program will also allow for comments and questions and address the audience’s concerns on matters of public importance.

Christopher Cooke, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum said that “this is the first of a series of Town Hall meetings to be offered by the Mansion making this national landmark available for community and regional dialogue. “
